Hi, I'm Ashwin Praseed, a student pursuing a dual degree in Data Science and Programming at IIT Madras and Electrical & Electronics Engineering at FISAT.
I enjoy building systems that combine software and engineering principles. My work includes backend development, REST APIs, automation tools, and experimental electronics projects.
My journey into technology began with debugging and building Discord bots, which later expanded into web development and backend systems. Recently, I have also been exploring electronicsβlearning how circuits work, building simple prototypes, and understanding how software can interact with hardware.
I am always interested in learning new technologies and building practical solutions that bridge software and engineering.

I'm an Electrical and Electronics Engineering student at FISAT and a
BS in Data Science and Programming student at IIT Madras. I enjoy
building software that solves real-world problems and have worked on
web applications, automation tools, and electronics-based projects.
Most of my projects involve Python, Flask, databases, REST APIs, and
hardware integration. I like exploring new technologies, improving my
development skills, and building practical solutions that combine
software with engineering.

220 kV GIS Substation, Thalassery
Gained practical exposure to the operation and maintenance of a 220 kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS). Learned about transformers, circuit breakers, protection systems, switchgear, and high-voltage power transmission while following industry safety practices.
AICTE IDEA Lab, FISAT
Supporting innovation activities at the IDEA Lab by assisting with workshops, student projects, and hands-on engineering initiatives. Working with faculty and students to encourage practical learning and product development.

Studying electrical machines, power systems, electronics, control systems, embedded systems, and electrical engineering fundamentals, while working on hardware and software-based engineering projects.
St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School, Thalassery
Designed and developed an Anti-Theft Security System as part of the
Digital Electronics course during the fourth semester.
The system detects unauthorized object removal and immediately activates an
alarm. The alarm can only be deactivated using a password-based authentication
mechanism, providing an additional layer of security.

Developed an enhanced Hospital Management System as part of the
Modern Application Development II (MAD2) course at the
Indian Institute of Technology Madras. The application provides a
comprehensive healthcare management platform with role-based access for
administrators, doctors, and patients. It includes appointment scheduling,
patient records, medical reports, prescription management, and an intuitive
dashboard for efficient hospital administration.

Developed a full-stack Hospital Management System as part of the
Modern Application Development I (MAD1) course at IIT Madras.
The application manages patients, doctors, appointments, prescriptions,
and medical reports using a relational database with RESTful backend logic.

Designed and implemented an analog sequential password lock using
555 timers, transistors, and discrete electronic components. The
circuit validates a predefined button sequence and includes reset and
fail-safe mechanisms for enhanced security.
